Do You Love Me Or Not?

Please let me go.

My mind is tormenting me to no end.

Please let me know.

So I can figure what to do.

Why do you keep staring at me?

Are you falling back in love again?

Why do you always visit me?

Am I really worth that much of your time?

Why am I no longer allowed to hug?

I hug my friends…aren't you a friend?

Why are you so mad at me when I don't budge?

"I'm fine" because I can't reveal the truth to you.

Please tell me the truth.

You're killing me otherwise.

I can't take anything without proof.

So tell me, do you love me or not?

Tired

Tired

I’m so tired of
Spilling out poetry
About being broken
I have enough bandages
To build me a rope up to heaven
(Or maybe even down to hell)

Perhaps they’re culminating
In the center of my chest
That would explain the
Weight of an anvil
That can’t be shaken

I’ve got a diagnosis
For that reason why
I’ve been leaving class every day
For two grueling weeks
I’ve got meds that don’t work
And confidential conversations
And a few scabs on my leg
 From when I decided
To play with scissors

I’ve got a sadness towards myself
That I can’t expel
It’s an assailant in the night
Coming and going
Impossible to trace
No one understands it
I don’t understand it

I just want it to stop.
I want to disappear
Into a book
Or a journal page
And leave behind
The inexplicable tears

I’m tired of feeling weak
When everyone is telling me
How strong I am
And feeling ugly
When people tell me
That they think I’m beautiful
And not wanting to talk
When everyone is
By my side, lending an ear

Most of all, though
I just hate feeling tired.

Mystery Name

Across a sea of darkness, I found you.

You, my savior sheathed in velvet plume,

This is my first vision of true perfection.

Yet, I continued to deny myself your touch,

the graze of my lips against yours,

this absolute pleasure denied.

My mind set, unwavering,

on a blood soaked nightmare that I wished so to end.

Never did I succumb to passion,

never did I see the purity of your unending sin.

Now you glut yourself on my innocence,

ravishing this physical form which will inevitably fade to dust.

Nothing, not the moon on a string,

nor every star dancing in my palm could surpass this sin,

this perfect crime against God.

I relish every moment, now burned into my mind.

Our perfect union, fleeting.

Eternal.

Sun Into The Leaves

Sun Into the Leaves

I don’t know where time has gone

as the sun loses its strength

and leaves the reminder what it once was

and what it will be again in the leaves.

I don’t know what to feel for you-

my heart kept the love alive,

but its dwindling-

so much has changed like the world always does.

My love once burned as strong

or perhaps stronger than the sun

and now has receded into the deepest part of my heart

like the sun into the leaves.

You are almost now a figment of my imagination-

you seem more like a dream I dreamt

a long time ago and still cling to

than a real person that I love.

A changing lifestyle has forced us apart,

I’m no longer the eager carefree soul I once was,

I only show the happiest side of me

when I have you to look forward to.

I long for the days before time caught us up

and chance pulled us apart

and I learned what you are

and heard it from your own mouth.

I don’t want what you are

and what time and chance are

to break my heart and find me another.

Crater Of Distance

There's a moon and there's a sun.
          And it's all about distance.
Eyes chuckle.
Do you hear them chuckle? It's really different from a sparkle,
because sparkling is bound to be seen, reflected, It's
about seeing!
He finds her eyes chuckling when the moon and sun meet at dusk,
the only moment sun and moon meet their stares.
Wherever he goes,
follows a distance in his thought. He is far from her,
and will continue to be further away as time will pass by.
Like the time, night has its moon and when the sun is there to claim the
parting of night and that moon.
A distance is created;
      again and again,
in his head too. He thinks, her head is filled with more
thoughts without him being one.
They meet at dusk, when the whole world is about to look different. They
become half nocturnal, perhaps so is, for a temporal insomnia ahead. They
think about each other till they tire themselves to sleep.
Maybe love has illusions.
Thoughts prevail, decimating the harsh realities. So much before nothing in
their own veiled freedom.

They meet at dusk,
when the hopes fall, when the soul dwindles.
When the count of distance is lost.

Eclipsed Moon

Eclipsed Moon over paradise

The harbored men have our protection,

While the Soldier stand to this day,

Choking the Man never come to speak anymore,

but always inside,

Molding the hearts of every child,

forcing the weak for the price so grand,

encouraging pride with simple greed,

Day to day,

only time is now our friend,

gives us warmth and truth,

even when our chains are bound,

looking toward the shore,

When the Maelstrom is fast and the Inferno's bright,

The Raven waits to see them deprived,

oh so lovely,

With wings wants more of their loyal sacrifice

when the people are kind and the soldiers attack,

the man defends who stabbed his back,

when the sun comes, the vulture will descend the Eclipsed moon over

paradise,

Eclipsed Moon.

Air

Where am I?
Luminescence beads throb,
Quaintly in darkest brine,
As zephyr scars rage,
In my mind.

Where am I?
Jagged thorns claw my veins,
Barbarous blots of angel red,
Fall sparkling forever,
Until all I ever dreamed are,
Stains upon a cloud stage,
Where nothing is left,
But the air.

Where am I?
Fluorescence teardrops sob,
Lucidly in electric alkaline,
As aurora bruises cry,
In my heart.

Where am I?
Straggled roots knot my bones,
Horrendous eyes so demon black,
Look straight at me,
Until all I ever witnessed are,
Irises lost in oblivion sky,
Where nothing is left,
But the air.

Where am I? Am I dead?
I've advanced so far,
Vague memories shatter like ice,
Lungs distort and nerves erupt,
Before all my essence fades,
And my echoed spirit pays Death,
His revenant price.
Now I'm nothing,
But the air.

ShowTime

You use your superficiality like a stage curtain.

A lovely velvet curtain, passionate red, deep and rich.

Your audience sits and stares at the curtain.

Eager but waiting.

Everyone but me was happy to sit and wait–wait for those curtains to open

And for the real show to finally begin.

You didn’t expect to ever meet a person to peek behind.

To steal a glance behind those curtains.

When I did–when I became appalled at what I saw–you blamed me.

Like I was the freak.

Like I was the one doing wrong.

I was sent back to the audience to sit with everyone else.

Telling others in the audience bared no good.

They didn’t believe me.

The curtains! They would cry. The curtains are too lovely to hide anything but greatness.

You are a freak! They would whisper as I grumbled, alone and to myself.

I wasn’t a freak.

Not then, not now.

I was only impatient.

I only wanted the show to start.

Turns out, the show I was waiting for is one I didn’t pay to see.

I’m afraid this just isn’t as advertised.

I hope the box office is still open,

I’m returning my ticket.

This poem has many meanings behind it, and that's what I love most about this piece. It's about the agonizing impatience. It's about the hatred behind secrecy. And lastly, it's the final signs of deception. But this is just my interpretation of "ShowTime" comment what YOU think it's about. :) This very symbolic submission is by Amelia Wellman from Canada.

Light Angel

Angel within my sparkling eye

Flying so high

Above the hellish skies

Do no deny

Her beauty

Her loveliness

Boosting so much happiness

Welcoming you into her chest

To rest your mind

Through time

No sighs

Cries

Tied to ones pride

Let her wash over you

Lovely grace

Providing space

Giving life

Showing loving

Within every fallen light

Lost Minds

Your velvet hand
Or is it a lizard on a window pane?
Oh
It's both
I should have known better
Why do I seem to be shoved away?
Why does your shove begin to feel
More and more
Like a beast's each day?
I seem
To be going back down
Down to the place you dragged me from
And you seem to not even care
So can someone pass me a fix?
Cause I'm going down
Down where shattered eyes rule

What hides beneath the skin?
Only shadows
That love to smile at misery
No matter what we breed
We still are made of greed
The words rule my once
Innocent mind
Why can't I turn back?
Why can't I have you back?
Why do I have to  run from these
Smiling shadows?
I miss those clear eyes
That always made me smile from within
This soot painted heart
I miss those burnished days
When the felicity was like
A pup running in a day
That would last forever

When our minds wonder so far enough to question the truth, they become lost. Things that are wrong and things that are right are woven into the way of someones life. And when the one you love has a dark heart, you learn to crave it regardless. What a great submission by Amanda from USA. :)

~October Poetry~

Edger Allan Pug ;)

Hey guys it's October, and for all you dark, mad-minded writers out there, this is your time to shine! The first October piece I found for you guys is called "Tombstone" By Nicklas from Sweden. This piece is about losing someone close to you and the only things you have left of that person.

Tombstone

It's been long enough for me

If only you could save me

How long must I wait here

You who have left me behind

You were my sunlight

You were my life

You were my everything

Now I have only this

How could he be so cruel to you

Now I'm walking in the fog

The fog that you left me behind in

Why can't you just show me the way

Show me how too live... again

Give me one more chance

Please god don't take her away

You were my sunlight

You were my life

You were my everything

Now I only got your tombstone

Can you hear me when I scream?

Can you see me from up above?

You will forever have stolen my heart

Thank you Nicklas from Sweden, for that melancholy poem. :) -(Nicklas' DA account: HERE)
***
We also have another great snippet from Syrah J Crawford from the USA. Her work is called "Damned", and It's a perfect piece for the month of October.

Death and Crows,

X's and O's.

Tears and decay,

Omens at bay.

Rot, and shocked stutters,

Filth, and crazed mutters.

Satan's bed, blankets of flesh.

Don't let it hear you, hold your breath.

Goodbye little star, so far away,

I'll rip your heart out goodnight,

To make sure you stay.

Thank you, Syrah from the USA, for that wonderfully wicked poem. :D -(Syrah's DA account: HERE)
Lastly, I wanna see some great feedback from you guys for our fellow poets. ;) Happy October everyone!

Awakening

One day
  I won't wake up

At least, not to the sound of your voice
And the touch of your lips on my cheek
    Because you'll be gone
And I'll be vanquished and abandoned .

You told me to trust you
  That you'll never leave me
But my faith was never very strong
Even if my imagination was .

And you know that I fear
The forsaken life
I tried to leave behind;
You know that I don't want to go back .
   (I can't hold onto everything
As I watch my life fall to pieces.)

And I've watched you as you sleep
By my side, curled up in the blankets
I've watched your lips move and heard you
As you whisper my name and move closer.

But one day, I won't wake up
To your sweet smile and loving eyes
And I fear the day that you finally wake up
And realize what you've gotten yourself into.

A woeful piece about loving someone so much that you would be crushed if you lost him or her. Sometimes we fear that people will leave us, and sometimes we imagine it to be for stupid reasons. It's also really hard to know when someone really loves you. You can never be too sure. Over all a very touching, thoughtful piece by Silverthorne-Studios

Heroin

That sickly smell. Tell tale scent.

Creeping into my nostrils, my mouth, my lungs.

Hits with every inhale.

Piss and fish. Stink so thick and tangible.

A smell you can touch.

Flame beneath tin-foil, split second relief.

Never could catch that dragon.

Colors blur, music fades.

Lost.

Pain no longer exists in this blind, narcotic delirium.

More real than reality.

Wallpaper becomes technicolor kaleidoscope.

Eyes closed, rushing motor-ways of silhouetted blood-vessels.

“Dude, give me a hit.”

No. You are gone, and I am no longer here.

Inflated head, numbed face. Tingling flesh, electric fire.

Junk sickness healed.

Heated spoons, pins into flat veins.

Just one more time.

It's good, oh! It's so good.

Just one more time.

Empty wallet, empty cupboards.

Knocking on the doors of empty flats.

Just one more time.

Junkies live on junk time.

Times between score and the next score.

Shake, sweat, crawl, cry.

Just one more time.

Just one more.

Forever.

Can You See Me?

Can you see me?

I'm right here

Right next to you

Please look at me

Just say something

Let me know I'm alive

Let me know you care

Sometimes you look

And I think maybe....

But as I look into your chocolate eyes

I realize you're seeing through me

You see her

And why wouldn't you?

She's the pretty one

She's the one everyone likes

While I am just a shadow

Sitting alone

Reflecting on memories

Of what never happened
